When the Ground Paused

In the quiet chaos of early motherhood, a young woman slips between roles – girl, mother, daughter – that each feel a little out of reach

Through slice-of-life vignettes, a young mother grapples with her own upbringing to navigate parenthood’s shifting demands, and to find moments for herself. Jess Barclay Lawton’s sensitivity for character studies evolves strikingly into this documentary whose slow tenderness testifies to the depth of trust between director and subject.
