The Steam in the Trees: The Making of Maple Syrup
In the Maine woods, a fleeting season of sap, steam, and imagination becomes something lasting.
Set in Auburn, Maine, The Steam in the Trees: The Making of Maple Syrup follows the seasonal process of maple sugaring at Treehouse Brand Maple, a one-of-a-kind train-style treehouse sugarhouse. From the first signs of thaw in the late-winter woods to the final pour of finished syrup, the documentary explores the craft, labor, and creativity behind making real Maine maple syrup.
